PALLIPALAYAM CHICKEN:

Hi everyone:)
You all must have heard about pallipalayam chicken :)its an authentic erode dish which is very simple to make and the taste just would nt fade away:)

Pallipalayam chicken is cooked using nattu kozhi which adds to the taste and it can be cooked with broiler chicken as well. Its as per your convenience.

It is the best side dish for plain rice and chicken biriyani.

In a non stick pan,add 6 tb spoons of oil and after it gets heated add mustard and urad dhal and allow it to splutter.

Next add the curry leaves, the more the better.

Saute it and add the minced garlic and saute till it gets cooked.
  • adding garlic before adding onions or tomatoes ll greatly flavour d dish
Then add d finely cut sambar onions and allow it to cook well and then add the red chillies.
  • break the red chillies into two and add it . no chilli powder should be added so its nothin wrong to add more red chillies
  • never add water while cookin this recipe
Add turmeric powder and saute well and then add the cleaned chicken pieces
  • the chicken pieces should not be very big and should be cut into a medium size.
Mix the chicken pieces well and add salt.close it with a tight lid.The chicken releases water while cooking and this is enough to cook the chicken.Keep sauting it in d middle, then add salt .

After the chicken is cooked add the cut small coconut pieces and garnish it with cilantro leaves.
